Dubai Style Ice Cream

Creamy pistachio ice-cream served with chocolatey kataifi, and crushed pistachios.


Ingredients: (serves 4)

  • 1 Benna Pistachio Milkshake

  • 50g Kataifi Fillo

  • 2tsps Chocolate Syrup (or hazelnut spread)

  • 1tbsp Benna Unsalted Butter

  • 1tbsp Chocolate Flake (or chips)

  • 1tbsp Crushed Pistachios


Method:

  1. Note that for this method, we’ll be using the amazing Ninja Creami. 

  2. Fill one of its cups with the milkshake. 1 packet should fit perfectly. 

  3. Close with the lid and freeze for 24 hours. Ensure that you don’t freeze it tilted; it needs to sit flat within the freezer. 

  4. Cut the kataifi filo into small pieces and fry them in butter until golden brown.

  5. Set them aside and allow them to cool off.

  6. Once cooled, mix them with the chocolate syrup. 

  7. Place the frozen milkshake in the Ninja machine and use the ice cream function.

  8. Create a hole in the centre of the tub, and fill with crushed pistachio and chocolate flakes/chips.

  9. Use the + extras function on the Creami, and your ice cream is ready to be served. 

  10. Serve with the chocolate kataifi, more crushed pistachios and wafers.
