BBQ Rib Ftira
Ingredients:
1 Rack Pork Ribs
Rub:
1tbsp Paprika
1tbsp Smoked Paprika
2tbsp Brown Sugar
1/2tsp Black Pepper
1/2tsp Salt
1tsp Celery Salt
1tsp Garlic Granules
1tsp Onion Powder
1tsp Ground Fennel
1/4tsp Cayenne Pepper
3tbsp Olive Oil
2-3 Onions
1cup Plain Flour
Oil for Deep Frying
100g BBQ Sauce
50g Honey
2 Maltese Ftira
Garlic Butter
Arugula
Directions:
1. Remove membrane from ribs and fully coat with the rub mix.
2. Cover well in aluminum foil and bake at 150°c for 3 hours.
3. In the meantime, thinly slice the onions, powder them with plain flour and deep fry at 180°c until they crisp up. Dry on a paper towel.
4. When ribs are done, carefully remove the bones and cut into portions.
5. Coat them with bbq/honey sauce and place them under a hot grill for 5 minutes.
6. Cut ftira in half and generously spread melted garlic butter. Place in a hot oven and toast for about 4 minutes until it starts getting light brown.
7. Build your burger, cut in half and enjoy!
