BBQ Rib Ftira

These fall off the bone ribs are simply gorgeous!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 Rack Pork Ribs



    Rub:

  • 1tbsp Paprika

  • 1tbsp Smoked Paprika

  • 2tbsp Brown Sugar

  • 1/2tsp Black Pepper

  • 1/2tsp Salt

  • 1tsp Celery Salt

  • 1tsp Garlic Granules

  • 1tsp Onion Powder

  • 1tsp Ground Fennel

  • 1/4tsp Cayenne Pepper

  • 3tbsp Olive Oil



  • 2-3 Onions

  • 1cup Plain Flour

  • Oil for Deep Frying

  • 100g BBQ Sauce

  • 50g Honey



  • 2 Maltese Ftira

  • Garlic Butter

  • Arugula

Directions:

  • 1. Remove membrane from ribs and fully coat with the rub mix.

  • 2. Cover well in aluminum foil and bake at 150°c for 3 hours.

  • 3. In the meantime, thinly slice the onions, powder them with plain flour and deep fry at 180°c until they crisp up. Dry on a paper towel.

  • 4. When ribs are done, carefully remove the bones and cut into portions.

  • 5. Coat them with bbq/honey sauce and place them under a hot grill for 5 minutes.

  • 6. Cut ftira in half and generously spread melted garlic butter. Place in a hot oven and toast for about 4 minutes until it starts getting light brown.

  • 7. Build your burger, cut in half and enjoy!
