Smashed Sausage Burger
DewFresh Pink Sausages are not just for BBQ. Smash them into a burger, and elevate the tasty game. We are serving them with some skin-on air fried fries.
Ingredients: (serves 2)
2 Brioche Buns
2-4 slices DewFresh Smoked Collar Bacon
4 (large) DewFresh Pork n’ Beef Sausages
2 DewFresh Gourmet Burgers
2 slices Cheddar
Burger Sauce (or Mayo)
Lettuce
1/2 Onion (thinly sliced)
Tomatoes (optional, thinly sliced)
BBQ Sauce
1/2 tsp Olive Oil
Method:
Fry the bacon in a non-stick skillet in little olive oil over medium heat.
Remove the casing from the sausages.
When the bacon is done, remove it and keep it in a warm place.
Fry the sausages for a couple of minutes on one side.
Flip the sausages and gently, but firmly smash them down.
Flip over for another minute and remove from the heat.
Follow with the burgers, and cook them to your likeness.
Add some cheddar before removing from the skillet.
Toast the brioche buns lightly in the skillet.
Combine the burgers by spreading some burger sauce or mayo onto the buns.
Follow with the lettuce, burger, onion, sausages, BBQ sauce, and bacon.
Add a couple of tomatoes if you like.
For the air-fried skin-on fries, simply wash the potatoes well.
Cut them into fries and season well with salt.
Spray some oil on top and air-fry them for about 25 minutes at 180°c
