5 Layer Minute Steak Ftira
Ingredients for 2 persons:
10 Slices Minute Steak
2 Maltese Ftira Bread
6 Slices Cheddar Cheese
2 White Onions
2tbsp Butter
1tbsp Brown Sugar
6 Slices Collar Bacon
2 Fresh Eggs
Baby Spinach Leaves
Worcestershire Sauce
Olitalia Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Balsamic Vinegar
Hellmann’s Chunky Burger Sauce
Salt & Pepper
Directions:
Slice the bread in half, spread the butter, and gently fry it until it gets crispy.
Slice the onions, add a teaspoon of olive oil to the pan, and gently fry them until softened. This should take around 5 minutes.
Add the brown sugar and some drops of balsamic vinegar and season with salt and pepper.
Let them caramelise on a low flame for about half an hour until they start getting dark. If they dry up add a couple of tablespoons of water.
Fry the eggs and bacon in some oil.
Then fry the minute steak in some oil and season it with Worcestershire sauce, salt & pepper.
Build your ftira starting off with the spinach, and then altering between the meat, onions, bacon, and eggs until you reach 5 layers of meat.
Finish off with some burger sauce and serve with French fries or crisps.
