Pizza Rolls

Your kids don’t like their greens? Try this hack. Soft, cheesy, and secretly packed with healthy spinach. 


Ingredients (Makes 8 rolls)

  • 8 slices Crustless Sandwich Bread

  • 8 Emborg Cheese Sticks

  • Emborg Cream Cheese

  • 4 tbsp Smooth Tomato Sauce

  • 40g Emborg Frozen Spinach

  • 1tbsp Dry Oregano

  • 2tbsp Olitalia E/V Olive Oil

  • Fine Salt


Method:

  1. Thaw the spinach, remove the excess water, and set aside. 

  2. Roll each slice flat with a rolling pin.

  3. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese.

  4. Lay a cheese strip along one edge.

  5. Add some spinach next to it and top it with some tomato sauce.

  6. Sprinkle some oregano and roll tightly.

  7. Place the rolls seam-side down on a lined tray.

  8. Brush tops with melted butter or olive oil and drizzle some salt for flavour.

  9. Bake at 190°C for 10–15 minutes until golden.

  10. Let them sit for 5 minutes so the cheese sets slightly before slicing.
