Burger lover? We went huge on this classic burger!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 Large Maltese Loaf

  • 1.2kg Ground Beef

  • 500g Shredded Cheddar

  • 1 White Onion

  • 1 Iceberg Lettuce

  • 30g Sesame Seeds

  • Pickled Gherkins

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Olive Oil

Sauce:

  • 100g Mayonnaise

  • 80g Sweet Pickle Relish

  • 1tbsp Yellow Mustard

  • 1/2tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1/2tsp Onion Powder

  • 1/2tsp Paprika

  • 1tsp White Wine Vinegar

Directions:

  • 1. Start with the sauce. Combine all ingredients and refrigerate until needed.

  • 2. Now let's make the giant cheese slice. Melt the shredded cheddar in a microwave at 350w / 15 seconds intervals. Mix well in between until fully melted. Transfer to a squarish dish and refrigerate until solid.

  • 3. Slice the loaf in 3 parts. Brush olive oil on the top part and cover with sesame seeds. Toast in a hot oven until lightly golden.

  • 4. For the beef patties simply shape 600g of beef and fry for 4mins on each side. Season well after turning. Do two of these.

  • 5. Combine the burger as shown in the video, slice into portions and serve with french fries. Use long sticks to hold the shape.
