Ghostly Cupcakes

Halloween is just around the corner and it’s becoming more popular locally! Try these adorable cupcakes for a children’s party or a get-together with friends — they’re easy to make and guaranteed to stand out.


Ingredients: (around 24 pieces)

  • 500g Fun Cakes Cupcake Mix

  • 5 Eggs (room temperature)

  • 250g Butter

  • Renshaw Fondant Icing (white)

  • 200g Chocolate Fudge (ready-made)

  • 24 Lollipops

  • FunCakes Nonpareils Black Pearls

  • Chocolate Drops


Method:

  1. Preheat the oven and mix the cupcake batter as instructed on the package.

  2. Divide the batter into a cupcake tin, lined with cupcake paper. Fill them up halfway.

  3. When ready, let them cool off completely.

  4. Pipe some chocolate fudge onto each cupcake and insert a lollipop in the centre.

  5. Thinly open the fondant icing and cut it in a circular shape. Use a cookie cutter or a plate as a template.

  6. Place the fondant onto the lollipop and give it that ‘ghostly’ shape. 

  7. Finish it off with two black pearls as eyes, and a chocolate drop as the mouth.

  8. Place them in the fridge for 5 minutes to firm up.
