Ingredients:

  • 1 roll Ready-made puff pastry (rectangle)

  • 2 Apples (Granny Smith/Golden Delicious)

  • 4 bars Catch (mint flavour)

  • 1tbsp Caster Sugar

  • 1tsp Ground Cinnamon

  • 1tbsp Plain Flour

  • 1 Fresh Egg

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°c

  2. Peel the apples and cut them into bite-size pieces.

  3. Place them in a bowl, add the sugar, cinnamon, and flour and mix well.

  4. Open the puff pastry and place 4 Catch bars in the middle.

  5. Place the apples on top of the chocolate and fold the puff pastry over to enclose everything.

  6. With the help of the pastry paper, carefully form it into a long log.

  7. Flip over onto a baking tin lined with baking paper.

  8. Remove the paper that came with the puff pastry.

  9. Create an egg wash using the egg and a couple of tablespoons of milk or water.

  10. Brush the pastry log and create some slits on top to let the steam escape.

  11. Drizzle the top with a little sugar and cinnamon.

  12. Bake at 180°c for about 25 minutes or until the puff pastry is nice and crispy.

  13. Let it rest for 20 minutes before cutting.
