Caramel & Apple Crumble
A twist or ‘cheat’ on a classic. Tender baked apples, rich caramel, and a buttery and crunchy crumble topping for the ultimate comfort dessert.
Ingredients:
4 Granny Smith Apples (peeled, cored and sliced)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
50g crushed Werther’s Original Blissful Caramel Bites Cookie
50g crushed Werther’s Original Blissful Caramel Bites Crunchy
1/2 packet Werther’s Original Soft Caramels
50g Rolled Oats
50g Plain Flour
Method:
Toss sliced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon in a baking dish.
In a bowl, rub butter into flour and oats until crumbly.
Cut the soft caramels in half, and add them in with the apples.
Sprinkle crumble mixture evenly over the apples.
Bake at 180°C for 35 minutes, until golden and bubbling.
Drizzle with caramel sauce and top with a few whole Blissfuls before serving.
