Chocolate Nests
Crunchy little chocolate nests, brimming with crunchy popcorn and blissful bites—an irresistibly sweet Easter treat that’s as fun to make as it is to eat, perfect for creating magical moments with children.
Ingredients:
400g Vermicelli Noodles or Kataifi Pasta
50g Crushed Nuts or Pistachios
Wherther’s Caramel Popcorn & Blissful Bites
Method:
Preheat the oven to 190°c.
Crush the vermicelli or Kataifi pasta in a baking dish and bake for around 10 minutes until golden in colour.
Half way through baking, give them a little mix to bake evenly.
In the meantime chop the chocolate and melt in a microwave or bain-marie.
When the pasta is ready, place them in a bowl and add the chocolate and crushed nuts.
Mixing them with kitchen gloves makes this process more easy.
Cover small bowls with cling film and place them upside-down onto a tray or chopping board lined with baking paper.
Cover the bowls with the chocolate pasta to create the ‘nests’. Make sure to leave some space between them. Otherwise they will stick together.
Refrigerate for about 2 hours until set.
Carefully remove the bowls from the chocolate. Let them rest for 10 minutes before trying to remove. Use a knife if they are hard to take them out. Be careful not to break the nest.
Fill them with caramel popcorn, blissful bites and small chocolate eggs.
Enjoy !
