Crispy Maltese Sausage
Ingredients:
4 Pieces Maltese Sausage
300g ’00’ or All-Purpose Flour
2tsp Relish Smokehouse Premium Rub
1tsp Baking Powder
1 can of Cold Beer
1pkt Kuskus Spicy Tomato Couscous
Salt & Pepper
Oil for Deep Frying
Directions:
Place the flour into a bowl and season with the Premium Rub.
Mix well and coat the sausage with this mixture.
Set aside the sausage and add the baking powder, salt & pepper to the flour.
Open the cold beer (of your choice) and start adding it to the bowl gradually.
Mix well until you get to a consistency of pancake batter.
Heat up the oil on low-medium heat.
Dip each sausage in the mixture, remove the extra batter, and carefully place them into the oil.
Use a skewer to make this process easier.
Fry 2 at a time until nice and golden.
Dry on kitchen paper to remove the access oil.
Prepare the couscous as instructed on the packet and serve.
