Cheesy Jalapeños Chicharrones
Ingredients for 2 servings:
500g Pork Skin (cleaned)
1/2pkt Crix Jalapeño Cheese (or any other flavour)
Method:
Cut the pork skin into bite size pieces.
Traditionally they are fried, but we are using an air-fryer to avoid excessive oil. Place them into the air-fryer and cook for 20 mins at 200°c.
Give them a couple of shakes during the cooking.
In the meantime, crush the Crix of your favourite flavour.
When the skins are ready, mix them immediately with the Crix. The reason is that they will start drying out. The grease will help the Crix coating to stick better.
It’s important to use thongs to pick up the cooked skins as the bottom of the air frier will be filled with pork grease.
You can use this grease to flavour other dishes, such as roasted potatoes or vegetables.
